Company
Shipping, Delivery & Returns
We do not monitor or track your shipments – you will be sent tracking info once your order is confirmed and ready for dispatch. Any packages that are refused or unable to be delivered to you will be returned to Berkeley and Stuart Wine Company at your expense.
Delivery Timelines
Orders are typically fulfilled in 1-2 business days. However, we prefer not to have orders sitting in a common carrier warehouse over the weekend (for optimal climate control), so will often wait to ship orders that come in on a Thursday or Friday until the following Monday.
Shipping Methods
Estimated Shipment Timelines
Ground – (1-10 Business Days)
2 Day – (2 Business Days)
3 Day – (3 Business Days)
Standard Overnight
Priority Overnight
Please note that these are only estimates. Due to the ongoing pandemic, common carriers like Fedex and UPS are no longer guaranteeing delivery timelines and there may be delays.
International Shipments
We are able to ship to many international destinations, but certain requirements or limitations may apply to specific countries. Please note that all sales are final to international destinations and we do not accept returns due to shipping delays or customs issues.
Custom Shipping Requests
If you have any special requests regarding the timeline or temperature control of your shipment (or special packaging needs), please select this shipment method. (In certain instances, this may also be the only shipment method, given the nature of the wine in question.) By selecting this method, you will be contacted directly by a member of our team with specific recommendations or a range of shipping options.
Domaine & Vinfolio Deliveries
If you have wine storage through Domaine or Vinfolio we are happy to arrange a drop off. In this event, we will not bill you for shipping. You will be invoiced separately by either Domaine or Vinfolio.
Shipment Quality Control
Orders are packed in protective styrofoam wine shippers (with ice packs when appropriate).
In the event that the wine is being stored in its original case and you desire to keep the original case please note this preference on your order – we will open the case to confirm the product, then ship the bottles and the case separately. Banded cases will be held until you advise us of your preferred shipping method.
Tracking
We do not monitor or track your shipments – you will be sent tracking info once your order is confirmed and ready for dispatch. Any packages that are refused or unable to be delivered to you will be returned to Berkeley and Stuart Wine Company LLC at your expense.
Shipping Delays
If you are not ready for us to ship the wine at the time of purchase, please make note of this in your order and we will hold the wine for you. We are happy to hold orders for 30 days free of charge, after which point we will issue a $10 / month service charge for each box being stored – this policy does not apply when wine is being held because of temperature concerns.
Weather-Related Shipping Issues
We encourage you to only ship wine during more temperate seasons, as both extreme heat and cold temperatures can potentially damage the quality of your wine. We are happy to hold any summer or winter orders in our warehouse at no additional charge. You may choose to ship at any time, but we are not responsible for any damages that may occur due to extreme weather or general shipping delays.
Issues Upon Delivery
If you believe there is an error with your order upon delivery, please contact us immediately so that we can review your request in a timely fashion. Requests must be submitted no later than five (5) business days after delivery and will be reviewed on an individual basis.
Returns
We carefully control the climate in which all our wine in is held. For this reason, we do not accept returns on wine purchases after they have left our warehouse.
